Pet Ranch Simulator 2 Wiki

Notice

Failure to follow the Manual of Style may result in a warning. The contents of this manual are just guidelines, they are NOT strict rules like the actual rules for this wiki. If you have ideas for improving this manual, You can always contact staff.

Regardless of what wiki you are on, you'll find these same basic rules for editing pages. Without them, editors would be unable to work together. These rules allow different people to agree on what separates good content from bad content. As always, if you see bad content on this wiki - fix it!

  • Always use proper grammar: that includes using full sentences and writing formally (no "I" or "me")
  • Always use section headers to break down content into bite sized pieces
  • Include photography that is relevant to the page's topic
  • When making a new page, remember to include as much information as you can
    • Even if it's not perfect, that's okay! Others will build upon it and make it better
  • This is a wiki about facts, not opinions. However, if you really believe it would be beneficial, contact staff to get a second opinion

Always use the {{PetInfobox}} when making a pet page; make sure to read the documentation before using it. If you see one of these pages that don't follow the guidelines below, either mark it with a {{Stub}} or fix the page the best you can.

  • All pet pages must include the egg, rarity, chances, and guaranteed eggs if applicable
  • All pet pages must include the base power (coins a pet produces at level one) for Normal, Shiny, and even Starry versions of that pet
  • All pet pages must have a Normal and Shiny image of that pet (unless a shiny version doesn't exist)
  • To see a page that meets all the above - take a look at the Shield Gala page

Images are an important part of this wiki. After all, they are worth a thousand words. But if you want your photos to have as much worth as possible, please follow the guidelines below.

  • As a rule of thumb: always take photos in the highest resolution. We can always shrink a photo that is too big, but we can't enlarge a photo that is too small
  • Always name the file you are about to upload, the name must be descriptive and NOT auto-generated (File:Queen Dragon Icon.jpg vs. File:6D17FF2F-FDE9-40D8-BEE4-A2BCC9110023.jpeg)
  • This isn't required, but have an image editor like GIMP or Photoshop in case an image needs to be fixed
